I’ve long suspected that Google is trying to dissuade use of their Blogging platform (limiting compatibility with the excellent LiveWriter, and subsequently Open LiveWriter), this announcement on Blogger has done nothing to change my mind:

Recently, the FeedBurner team released a system update announcement , that the email subscription service will be discontinued in July 2021.
After July 2021, your feed will still continue to work, but the automated emails to your subscribers will no longer be supported. If you’d like to continue sending emails, you can download your subscriber contacts. Learn how
Fortunately I don't use FeedBurner, so that change won't affect me, but it is becoming rather an inconvenience that no matter what restrictions I put on photo width in my template, Blogger insists on inserting them in size 'Mahooooosive', causing me to have to go into Blogger and resize them one by one (I upload them using BloggerPro, which can still deal with photos). I would happily switch allegiance to a different platform, if I could be convinced that there was anything better out there.
