Dog Falls video

I tried to load a video of Dog Falls on my last posting but Open Live Writer wasn’t playing – I couldn’t even edit that posting.

Hopefully this will work

I tried to embed the video but gave up….for now.

  1. The video works fine. A place i've not been to.

I have tried to email you with a reply to your Panasonic query but it was returned so here is a copy:

Hi JJ - I got your camera query comment on my post and supposedly did a reply but it seems to have disappeared so here we go again.

Yes, I am pleased with the TZ60. The old TZ40 got dirt on the sensor causing a blob on all my photos. It was over two years old and there was no recompense at Wilkinsons Cameras in Kendal, but I didn’t really expect anything.

I was told the sensor on the TZ60 is the same as the TZ40 but I seem to get better colour results and have less fiddling about in Photoshop. The stability of the zoom seems to have been much improved, but at full extent you really need a tripod if you are serious, but I still get decent results without.

I paid the £199 which seems to be non-negotiable (I don’t think they have much margin in this kind of kit) but buying from John Lewis or another reputable supplier is a good idea thus avoiding the possibility of foreign imports that may not be covered by the guarantee. All in all I recommend the TZ60.

    Cheers

    Conrad

    1. Thanks Conrad. You've convinced me, particularly with regard to the sensor. The dynamic range of my existing Lumix is okay, but only okay.
      I'll take the piggy bank.
      Thanks again for your reply.
